Heartstrings - Stephen Fryrear

♫I see you how feel, it's on your face
Heaven only knows this might be the place
Maybe you can find where I lost my grace tonight
Don't you know, I need you now
Hold me close, 'cause I'm losing ground
And I'm hoping you could help me out

There's something in your eyes that reminds me
The worst days of mine are behind me
My heartstrings and yours are winding down
Down, down, down

And baby you speak and your whisper
Heals my mind and you lay down a kiss
Where I need it the most
I need it the most

You don't know what you do to me
Every time you come around
You're making my dreams come true

There's something in your eyes that reminds me
The worst days of mine are behind me
My heartstrings and yours are winding down
Down, down, down

Oh and I can't ask for nothing more
It's almost like I never knew love before
I saw that there's

There's something in your eyes that reminds me
The worst days of mine are behind me
My heartstrings and yours are winding down
Down, down, down ♫

Not much info on this guy, but I've been listening to this CD for about four months. I love the sound. He has a new single out, "Hands and Feet" that can be previewed on iTunes. He has only put out the one full album so far. Still having a hard time finding women artists that aren't trying so hard to be sexy that they've blocked their soul. It's almost invisible behind the hype.

  1. Do you mean physically sexy or lyrically sexy? Or both?

It seems like music videos aren't near as big as they used to be. I remember a radio show the other day saying "who watches music videos anymore?" But I guess there's still those who create a physically "sexy" persona despite that. But I do agree that there's too much effort to go for the sexy thing lyrically. Wow, this is a bit of a ramble.

  2. @ Ben - Both! Physically, lyrically, every which way. I'm just so tired of it being over played. I suppose some of the male artists do the same thing, but women take the cake.

  3. Even with the male artists there's often female dancers to take the cake.

  5. It's a beautiful song, Annie. I hear you about the female singers. That's why I love Lucinda Williams, Patty Griffin, P.J. Harvey...the oldtimers, I guess. It's horrendous how our society is STILL sexualizing women. I'm tired of seeing sex used to sell everything from toilet paper to fucking chili. Great song! xo

  7. Tee-Hee. Oh, that reminds me, I talked to Sean Connery's rep and our 3-way with him is so on for next week. I acquired an entire bottle of Viagra (just in case) so we're gonna ROCK 007's fucking WORLD!!!! Love you! xoxo

  10. Stephen Fryrear is an amazing musician and a really cool guy. I believe he's working on a new album? Not sure when it is due, but last time I talked to him he had something in the works.
