Banjo Bits
(Having never been much for this particular instrument, I have a renewed interest. Love the harmonica additions in Outsiders as well.)
♫Shortfalls and little sins
Close calls where no one wins
Stand tall but running thin
I'm wearing thin
Oh, why are we keeping score
Cause if you're not laughing
Who is laughing now
I've been wondering if this starts sinking
Would we stand our ground
After everything we've learned
We've finally come to terms
We are the outsiders
I'm not leaving without a fight
I've got my holsters around my sides
Just cause I'm wrong that don't make you right
It's not right
Oh, what are we fighting for
Cause if you're not laughing
Who is laughing now
I've been wondering if this starts sinking
Would we stand our ground
After everything we've learned
We've finally come to terms
We are the outsiders♫

Yee Hawwwww, there are plenty of blue grass, folk, and mountain music bands around here. Some extremely talented. I went to see one last year with a blogger friend and found it to most enjoyable.
ReplyDeletesteve martin would approve
ReplyDeleteThis was nice and I had never heard of them so thanks. One of my favorite songs that features a banjo is "The One You Really Love" by the Magnetic Fields.
ReplyDeleteWho'd have thought but you're right the Harmonica is absolutely stunning ads a element to the song that yes would be worth without it, who knows might make a come back ;)
ReplyDeleteOn gossip girl, does nothing for me, but I have a feeling if I listened to it at night...I might like it, too much a difference between the two
Awesome and different. I like it. xo
ReplyDeleteTravis - You? You went to hear Moutain Music? I'm shocked!!!!
ReplyDeleteBravo, oh king of metal.
Tom - :) Yeah, wouldn't he though!
Elliot - I'm off to give a listen. Never heard of them...so tit for tat....or however that goes :)
Lorraine - What's "Gossip Girl"? I don't even know. I just like the song because it is so unique. Pop with banjo??? Who does that?
Marion - You are so sweet for listening. I love you Marion, just for being here.
